On April 1, 2016 I photographed Tina and Nathan's wedding here, a day I said at the time I would never forget. Lillie and Terrence married here too. The Mackey House describes itself as a private lakeside estate with a main house, veranda, gardens and pavilion, under ten minutes from downtown.

How I Photograph A Day Here

It gives you the feel of being out of town without the drive. Tall pines make soft shade through most of the day, and the fountain and planted beds give the details a home. If it is too warm outside, the house lets us move in without losing the day.
