Many couples still search for this place as the Mansion on Forsyth Park, and that is the name it had when I photographed Tirzah and Doug here, along with Beatrice and Chris and Jenna and Eric. It is called Hotel Bardo now, and the hotel's own site now lists five event spaces. They are the Ballroom, the covered Courtyard it calls The Oasis, the Carriage House, a poolside Event Lawn and Club Bardo, which has a terrace overlooking the park.

How I Photograph A Day Here

The big advantage is Forsyth Park across the street. You can walk over for portraits under the oaks and be back before anyone misses you. Indoors, ballrooms with chandeliers and warm walls want a very different approach from the park, so I plan for both. The photos here show the older look. Ask to walk the current rooms, because renovations can change the color of everything in a photo.
