A Savannah Wedding Day

a veil in The Sun

A big Cathedral ceremony, a quiet moment under the oaks and a dance floor that kept going after dark.

Sun flaring through a bridal veil as the couple kisses

Big days need a quiet minute in the middle of them. Alyssa and Jay's started with a full bridal party and a Cathedral ceremony, and then the two of them got to slow down on an avenue of live oaks with the sun coming low through the moss.

That veil photograph only works when you are standing in the right place when the light drops. It takes about a minute, and it is one of the reasons I plan the whole timeline around the sun.

And Then The Night

After dark I want the room to feel the way it felt to be there. Candles on brick, a tower of champagne coupes, string lights overhead and everybody on the dance floor.
